Favorite ski spot

Emma's, right across the street from Alta, it’s between 800-1300 foot runs and south facing. It's really the epitome of Utah backcountry. Almost every step you take up is worth its vertical in skiing down, so it's really efficient fall-line skiing. A perfect way to start or end a day of skiing at Alta or Snowbird too, just in case you need some resort action to add on to the day.

Best climbing spot

Pentapitch, 4-5 pitches, 5.8, super fun way to watch the evening on a hot summer day. Just a little ways up Little Cottonwood Canyon. It's where I basically learned trad climbing and still love it.

Favorite art gallery

UMOCA (Utah Museum of Contemporary Art).

Restaurant Picks

  • EVA's is our go-to, HSL for date night
  • Zest for our vegetarian night
  • Setebello for pizza
  • Saola at the bottom of Big Cottonwood Canyon for some warm Pho after a cold day of skiing
