About evo
People often ask when and why I started evo. The inspiration for evo began long before I launched evogear.com from my garage in 2001 while living between Whistler and Seattle.
My Uncle Jack introduced me to skiing at Mt. Ashland in Oregon when I was in the fifth grade. His generosity in paying for my rentals and lift tickets ignited my passion for spending as much time as possible on the mountain and in the outdoors.
I started buying and selling baseball cards, which eventually led to purchasing gear and lift tickets. This early hustle fueled my love for winter sports, biking, surfing, and ultimately, evo. Growing up in Roseburg, Oregon, I witnessed stark differences in childhood experiences. At a young age, I encountered issues like abuse and homelessness among friends, which made me reflect on my own fortunate upbringing. These experiences inspired our commitment to giving back through volunteer work and philanthropy.
Over twenty years later, my desire to share our love for sport and culture remains strong. We strive to bring people together through our evo stores in the U.S. and Whistler, evo.com, Rhythm Japan, evo Hotels, The Callaghan outside Whistler, evoTrip, Rhythm Rides, and All Together Skateparks in Seattle and SLC—and we’re just getting started.
We are deeply grateful for your support. This journey has provided opportunities for our 1,000+ global team members and enabled us to invest in our communities, volunteering tens of thousands of hours and contributing millions to organizations that help underserved kids experience the outdoors—offering the life-changing inspiration I felt as a child.
Thank you all!
Bryce
Investing in Our Communities
At the heart of everything we do is our mission to leave a positive impact on communities, by bringing financial and volunteer support to non-profit organizations dedicated to getting kids outdoors. We believe all young people deserve the opportunity to discover their passions and achieve their full potential. In addition to our non-profit partnerships, to support this work, we have All Together Skateparks where kids and their families’ lives are positively impacted in an inspiring and inclusive space.
Our Family of Brands
We are a global outdoor experiences company. Our family of brands span retail, rental, gear, travel & hospitality, recreation, guiding and instruction. We call this the ‘evo ecosystem’. Across our ecosystem, we connect with our community through a shared love of sport, culture, and the outdoors.

evo stores serve as community hubs and one-stop destinations for expert advice, gear, technical services, boot fitting, and events. Our passionate staff specializes in snowboarding, skiing, and mountain biking across our 11 locations in the U.S. and Canada, and 7 in Japan under Rhythm Japan. We’ve partnered with complementary businesses to open Campus Salt Lake City, featuring an evo store, All Together Skatepark, Salt Lake Bouldering Project, Level 9 Sports, and evo’s first hotel.
Travel the world with us
We take skiers, snowboarders, and mountain bikers to iconic destinations around the world via evoTrip, our group, and private travel business. In addition to Journeyman Lodge at The Callaghan, (just 20 minutes from Whistler), adventure-minded travelers can stay with us at evo Hotel.
